Experts: Suits over software, websites’ quality may double in 2023

MOSCOW, Dec 26 (PRIME) -- The number of court decisions on disputes about the quality of Russia's software and websites has reached 8,800 in 2022 and could at least double next year, according to company RTM Group’s research seen by PRIME on Monday.

“We expect that the number of court disputes in this segment will at least double with tripling of Russian software,” RTM Group said.

If all the documents are made correctly, the party with well-grounded claims has all the chances to win at court.

The average percentage of satisfaction of the requirements of both categories -- websites and software – stands at is 58.69%, according to the experts.

The average court compensation on software development contracts reached 3.6 million rubles in 2021 and 11.8 million rubles in 2022. In the websites segment, it amounted to 515,000 rubles in 2021 and 175,000 rubles in 2022.
